The California School Boards Association (CSBA) is seeking one experienced Science, Technology, and/or Engineering, Teacher Fellow (elementary or secondary) to support efforts to provide guidance and information to school board members and CSBA staff about the implementation of Math and Science standards. This is an opportunity for a K-12 educator with at least three years of experience to provide valuable perspective and feedback to thousands of education leaders across the state.

This is a part-time fellowship that includes a stipend of $5,000. In order to provide a broad perspective to our members, we are seeking one elementary and one secondary teacher to share their experience and views on implementing the math and/or science standards in their classrooms.

As part of this program Teacher Fellows will:

  • Plan for, conduct, and write up interviews with other teachers about Math and Science standards implementation.

  • Share information based on these interviews and their own experience by writing two pieces for CSBA publication: a brief, fact sheet, article, or blog post.

  • Provide CSBA with information that we can share with school board members to help them support math and science standards implementation in their districts.

If interested, please apply and complete the application, submit a resume and cover letter, and answer the attached questionaire. Please make sure that you answer the questionaire on how the Math and/or Science standards are impacting your role as an educator.
